The plastics and rubber industry is about to experience something unprecedented. Plast 2026 (9-12 June, Fiera Milano) is breaking traditional trade fair boundaries by joining forces with Xylexpo (wood and furniture technologies) and Composites Future to create MaTec – an integrated manufacturing ecosystem spanning 8 pavilions.

From 23rd to 25th September 2025, Nuremberg Exhibition Centre will host FACHPACK, Europe's leading trade fair for innovative packaging solutions, featuring approximately 1,400 exhibitors across 11 halls.

The Best Packaging Award, a longstanding accolade that for over 60 years has celebrated sustainable and technological innovation in the sector, returns this year as part of IPACK-IMA, the international trade fair dedicated to processing & packaging, scheduled from 27 to 30 May at Fiera Milano – Rho. The award ceremony will take place on 28 May.

The topic of innovation in packaging materials will take centre stage at IPACK-IMA, scheduled to take place at Fiera Milano Rho from 27 to 30 May 2025. Over 200 companies will enrich the exhibition with specialised proposals focusing on eco-friendly and smart materials, designed to meet sustainability and production efficiency needs.

With over 1,200 exhibitors - 30% of them international, representing 27 countries - Ipack-Ima has officially closed the sale of exhibition spaces. The focus now shifts to visitor promotion, with complimentary entry available throughout February.

We met international operators in the sector at Luxe Pack 2024, the high-end showcase held every year at the Grimaldi Forum in Munich.

On 15 January, the event "Packaging in Retailers' and Consumers' Choices," organised by Nomisma, was held at Marca by BolognaFiere. During the event, the 2025 edition of the Packaging Observatory for the Mass Market was presented, offering an overview of Italian consumers' preferences regarding sustainable packaging.
