From 23rd to 25th September 2025, Nuremberg Exhibition Centre will host Fachpack, Europe's leading trade fair for innovative packaging solutions, featuring approximately 1,400 exhibitors across 11 halls.
The central theme of the event will be "Transition in Packaging", reflecting the profound changes underway in the industry towards sustainability, automation and resource efficiency. The event positions itself as a catalyst for developing concrete solutions that address the sector's most pressing challenges.
Sustainability focus
Particular attention will be devoted to sustainable packaging through the Solpack 6.0 forum (Hall 3), moderated by Peter Desiléts of Pacoon, which will address topics such as the circular economy, climate change and PPWR regulations. The "Alternative Packaging Solutions" pavilion, now in its second edition, will showcase 14 companies with innovations including grass and leaf paper, compostable bags and materials from grain waste.
Innovation and networking
The Pachbox (Hall 4) and InnovationBox (Hall 7) forums will host presentations on digitalisation, AI and new alternative fibres. The "Converting meets Packaging" pavilion makes its debut to facilitate collaboration between related sectors.
The networking programme includes the FuturePack Summit (22nd September) for European start-ups, Women4Packaging for industry professionals and Student Day dedicated to young talent.
Market context
According to director Phuong Anh Do of NürnbergMesse, the industry is demonstrating "impressive pace and innovative strength" despite economic challenges. 54% of exhibitors come from the German-speaking area, the remainder from across Europe, with 60% in the packaging segment and 40% in technologies.
Fachpack.TV will broadcast live throughout all three days, whilst the German Packaging Award will honour 37 winners from 15 countries on the fair's opening day.
