A recent report from Euromonitor International's Global Buying Green, an annual comprehensive survey of consumer perceptions of sustainable packaging, found that 66% of consumers believe it is important to buy products that use environmentally friendly packaging materials.
An overwhelming 86% of younger consumers aged 18-44 say they are willing to buy more products that use sustainable packaging. And nearly ¾ of consumers say they would be interested in buying products with refillable or reusable packaging.
Here are examples of environmentally friendly packaging materials: recycled, compostable, cellulose, corrugated and kraft paper, glassine, corn starch and bioplastics, and green cell foam.
