Gruppo VéGé has been awarded the Best Sustainable Packaging Project Award at the PLEA 2026 – Private Label Excellence Award, the recognition dedicated to excellence in private label and assigned through an evaluation model that highlights the contribution of co-packers and industrial operators.
The award was presented on the occasion of the TUTTOFOOD trade fair (Milan) to the Ohi Vita Mix range of 90 g dried fruit jars, in the Power Mix, Protein Mix and Vitamin Mix references, thanks to a distinctive packaging solution focused on sustainability and waste reduction.
A key element of the project is the open-and-close cap, which allows proper product preservation after opening, helping to reduce food waste and improving ease of use for the consumer.
The result is part of the evolving path of private label, increasingly central in modern retail not only as a commercial lever, but as a platform for product and process innovation.
The PLEA 2026 confirm the strategic role of collaboration between retailers and industry in developing concrete and sustainable solutions. In this context, Gruppo VéGé strengthens its positioning as the first modern retail group born in Italy, interpreting private label as a driver of innovation for the entire sector.
