The Salone del Mobile 2024, the most important international event for the design industry, will take place from 16 to 21 April at the Rho Fiera in Milan. At the Fuori Salone, in addition to exhibitions, installations and meetings with designers, the Grifal Group, one of Italy's leading packaging manufacturers, together with Mara Paper Lab, which specializes in the development of fully eco-sustainable furnishings made of cardboard, and cArtù Waves, the new shock-absorbing and eco-sustainable corrugated cardboard, will tell the story of a new dimension in eco-sustainable retailing through the Paper Revolution for Retail space (at DecorLab in Milan).
The theme of the exhibition, 'Design, Decoration, Sustainability', describes the aim of transforming environmentally sustainable packaging materials into easy-to-assemble, lightweight furnishing objects without sacrificing attractive design. The aim is also to encourage visual merchandisers to become promoters of change in the retail world by turning to attentive and innovative suppliers who offer materials that are easier to handle and, above all, environmentally friendly.
The shop window and the store become an edutainment and infotainment tool to raise awareness of respect for the planet and to communicate the brands' commitment and campaigns on environmental and social issues.
