Presenting the excellent results achieved in 2023, President Maurizio Marchesini also announced his imminent appointment as CEO
Maurizio Marchesini will assume the role of CEO of the Marchesini Group from 12 July next, in addition to his current role as Chairman. The appointment follows Pietro Cassani's decision to leave the position of CEO to pursue other professional opportunities.
While thanking Cassani for his important work in eight years of collaboration, the President announced the results of the 2023 budget, which shows a double-digit increase in revenue: +15% over 2022 to 600 million euros.
As a result of the strategies implemented, the increase in sales translated into an increase in margins, both in absolute terms and in percentage terms, also thanks to a more favourable sales mix. EBITDA increased from EUR 113.4 million in the previous year to 137.0 million euros (+21%), while net profit reached 70.6 million euros, an increase of 17.6%.
Shareholders' equity of 592 million euros (+61 million euros in 2022) and a positive net financial position of 44 million euros underline the equity and financial strength of the Marchesini Group.
Chairman Maurizio Marchesini, as CEO, with the valuable support of the Board of Directors and the Group's almost 3,000 employees, will lead the company towards the next challenges in the sector.
We will continue to invest in technological innovation and internationalisation, so much so that to date 87% of our turnover is generated by exports. "We are looking to the future with a strong commitment to the values that have always distinguished us, and with a deep attachment to the land where it all began fifty years ago,
he stressed.
