Guala Closures, one of the world’s leading producers of closures for the spirits, wine, water, beverage, and edible oil markets, has been awarded the Gold Medal by EcoVadis, a global platform dedicated to assessing corporate sustainability based on international standards.
Since 2023, Guala Closures has participated in the annual EcoVadis assessment, involving its facilities worldwide. This year, the company significantly improved its score from 69 to 76, placing it in the top 3% of companies within its sector. This result marks a notable step forward from last year’s Silver Medal.
Paolo Lavazza, Group Quality and Sustainability Director at Guala Closures, commented:
Achieving the EcoVadis Gold Medal is not only a prestigious recognition for us, but also tangible evidence of our strategies regarding environmental practices, ethics, labour standards, respect for human rights, and sustainable procurement. For Guala Closures, sustainability is not just about the environment: the company’s commitment fully embraces both social and ethical aspects.
The recognition highlights the Group’s dedication to sustainability, as outlined in its Sustainable Together 2030 programme, which integrates business growth with sustainability, aiming to create long-term value for all stakeholders while responsibly addressing the challenges of the global context.
