Gluing with Robatech: as precise as a Swiss watch
Since its launch in 2021, the Vision melter has become a benchmark for adhesive applications, thanks to its innovative design that combines smart features with sustainability. Over time, its advanced technology and new integrated functionalities have made it even more competitive. The first Vision melter was installed in 2021 by Imach on the final packaging line for Caffè Izzo.
The company appreciated not only the modern and intuitive design but also the energy efficiency and sustainability of the melter. The ease of maintenance was an added benefit, with a dedicated access door and a SmartTerminal featuring a LED display, allowing operators to monitor the gluing process and manage interventions, such as adhesive refilling, efficiently.
Custom sizes and models to meet every need
In the past three years, the Vision melter range has expanded, offering models with melting capacities from 5 to 18 kg/h. Vision offers two types of tanks: the classic tank, suitable for large adhesive consumption like granules, and the "tankless" version, which ensures efficiency with small amounts of granulate and an automatic filling system. The latter reduces heating times and energy consumption, minimizing the formation of carbonizations. Among the available options are systems for integration via fieldbus, touch displays for a graphical interface, and transformers for the American market.
Integration and process precision
The AS40 controller, in its Pro version, allows for advanced management of up to 32 glue patterns per channel, both in dots and beads, and stores over 1,000 configurations for different formats, which can be recalled manually or via PLC. To ensure maximum gluing precision in packaging, the Vision melter integrates seamlessly with the Performa hose and the Volta heated head. The Performa hose, with its advanced insulation, maintains consistent adhesive temperature and viscosity, improving reliability and energy efficiency. The Volta electromagnetic head, operating at high operating cycles, enables precise adhesive application, reducing consumption by up to 50% (in “stitching” mode) and enhancing gluing quality, all without the need for compressed air and with lower maintenance costs.
Vision: an added value for sustainable packaging in e-commerce
In 2023, BVM Brunner developed two kraft paper packaging machines aimed at the e-commerce industry. These machines employ Robatech's application systems, combining the Vision melter with the Vivo 18 headed to ensure precision and reliability. The introduction of the Vision melter, Performa hose, and Vivo 18 head gives BVM Brunner a significant competitive advantage thanks to energy efficiency and ease of maintenance, perfectly meeting user needs. Robatech launches EasyLine: gluing made simple!
The new EasyLine by Robatech offers a practical and compact solution for simple hotmelt applications. Easy to install thanks to its plug-and-play connections, the system includes the Rio electrically heated hose and the Twist application head, which stands out for its compactness and versatility, with adjustable support and various application nozzles. Maintenance is simplified by the fully insulated quick-release coupling and the adhesive filter, which can be easily replaced without tools. Moreover, EasyLine allows manual adjustment of the pump pressure and differentiated temperature settings for the tank, hoses, and application heads. With a melting capacity of 2.5 kg/h and a weight of just 16 kg, the Easy melter is one of the lightest on the market, offering excellent value for money and meeting customer needs with quick start-up and minimal maintenance.
EasyLine is suitable for packaging trays, folding boxes, paper cups, ice cream cones, providing the quality and reliability typical of Robatech.
