Another significant recognition in terms of environmental sustainability: Vimar has won the Conai Ecodesign Award for packaging in the circular economy, aimed at rewarding the most innovative and environmentally sustainable packaging solutions launched on the market in the 2022-2023 period.
The submitted project is an evolution of the packaging for the multi-outlet mobile socket with Universale SICURY and two USB ports, a device capable of charging and powering three devices simultaneously, from smartphones to desk lamps and laptops. Additionally, the illuminated ON/OFF switch allows all connected devices to be disconnected with a single action.
Vimar's focus on sustainability, combined with its research and development efforts, led to the creation of packaging made entirely of cardboard, certified by FSC and sourced from recycled fibres, printed with water-based ink. Furthermore, ecodesign improvements over the initial packaging have optimised the size, enhancing packaging times, logistics management, and transportation.
In this context, the Conai award once again highlights Vimar's commitment to a greener, more sustainable future, where innovation is combined with respect for the environment.
