Modern filling technology, inspection, and a wide range of services are just some of the innovations presented by KHS, a builder of packaging systems in the food and beverage sector. At BrauBeviale 2024, taking place from 26 to 28 November in Nuremberg, a primary trade fair for the beverage industry, KHS will showcase its offerings.
“We will demonstrate how our advanced technologies and service concept optimise our customers’ production processes while simultaneously contributing to long-term environmental protection,” stated Tobias Wetzel, CSO of KHS.
“Alongside our customers, we are helping to shape the future of the beverage industry with our advancements in high-precision filling technology, intelligent packaging systems, and smart services,” Wetzel continued.
Focus on the Line Concept
KHS will present the Innofill Can C filler, which, together with the capping unit produced by Swiss partner Ferrum, can produce up to 60,000 cans per hour and can be perfectly integrated into medium-capacity beverage lines, combined with KHS's enhanced process and inspection technology developed in recent years. This includes, among other things, the Innocheck MMS machine management system, which locates and assesses faulty filling valves and closure elements, the new Innocheck FHC, which checks fill levels using X-rays, and the Innocheck ECI inspection unit that examines empty cans for foreign bodies and damage.
Sustainability and Product Protection
A solution to the demand for circular packaging is provided by InnoPET Plasmax, which involves a coating process for PET containers to cover the interior of plastic bottles with a very thin layer of glass. Available as a standalone machine or in combination with a stretch-blow moulder and/or an additional filling unit, it offers effective product protection, ensuring optimal quality, freshness, and shelf life, with 100% recyclability.
Digital Planning and Consulting
However, advanced technology alone is not sufficient to ensure the smooth and continuous operation of lines. For this reason, KHS also offers a wide range of consulting services. These include, for example, modular service packages that ensure the production lines of beverage fillers operate efficiently and without interruption, thus avoiding unplanned downtime and unforeseen costs. KHS’s virtual line design utilises the latest 3D software, providing customers with a holistic view of their potential line right from the quotation stage.
