At the heart of PPWR is the recyclability of packaging; polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) will play a key role. adapa Group has been using both materials for some time and has now expanded its portfolio of PE laminates for flowpacks.

Amcor and Avon launched the AmPrima Plus refill pouch for Avon Little Black Dress classic shower gels in China. The recyclable packaging, made in polyethylene, will result in an 83% reduction in carbon footprint and an 88% and 79% reduction in water consumption and renewable energy, respectively, when it's recycled.

At the end of 2023, new packaging for Sunbites, PepsiCo's popular snack brand, was launched in the UK and Ireland with 50% recycled plastic. The packaging was produced using an advanced recycling process to meet the increasingly stringent requirements of EU legislation.
