Reduce the environmental impact of your production cycle and provide packaging that is easy to dispose of and recycle. The good practices of the Lombard company Ved Carta, manufacturer of bags, trays, reels…
Founded in 1975, Ved Carta Srl operates throughout Italy, with a wide and differentiated packaging offer, designed for different industrial sectors.
With a production unit of 2,400 m2, two totally autonomous warehouses of 3,000 m2 and a show-room of 1,000 m2, it guarantees a complete service to the GD and the large-scale retail trade and supplies food and hygienic/health products producers.
Thanks to the considerable expansion recorded in recent years, the company has chosen to undertake various voluntary certification paths, such as the Food Contact issued by CSICert and the BRCGS Packaging Materials standard, created with the aim of raising the quality level, not only in relation to the production process but also to the choice of raw materials and suppliers.
These certifications, which can be defined as a good “business card” for the protection of the end user and, to date, are fundamental reference points for the management of products, guaranteeing the conformity of food packaging to the mandatory regulations.
Ved Carta’s Research and Development team is committed to designing every single product taking into account, upstream, the customer’s needs and, downstream, the end-of-life of the packaging, thus adopting the general principles of sustainability: for example, carrying out every new project according to eco-design criteria, so as to improve the entire life cycle of the packaging, making it eco-friendly.
Focus on food packaging. The search for optimal solutions for the environment has focused primarily on the study of food packaging that is compostable and recyclable. In this regard, the company has obtained various concessions for the use of the “Recyclable with Carta-Aticelca®501” trademark, both for the production of bags and trays (the latter line is booming thanks to the purchase of new machinery).
Among Ved Carta’s most recent proposals, we remember the mono material trays with anti-humidity treatment as well as the new line of “Fruit Trays” (see photos) , trays suitable to contain and protect fruit and vegetables naturally, without the use of plastic.
The Fruit Tray (in the photo) is classified as “nature-conscious packaging” as it is made of material coming from well-managed forests, FSC® certified forests (license code FSC®-C084649) and other controlled sources; it is an ecological, recyclable container, ideal for separate collection”.
