On 26 November, the official press conference for GreenPlast 2025 was held. The international exhibition-conference dedicated to materials and technologies for the transformation of plastics and rubber, with a particular focus on environmental sustainability and energy efficiency, will take place in Milan from 27 to 30 May 2025. The event saw the participation of around 20 journalists from national and international publications, confirming the growing interest in GreenPlast as a key platform for innovation and sustainability across the entire plastics supply chain.
The conference was opened by Mario Maggiani, CEO of Promaplast, the event organiser, who highlighted the importance of GreenPlast as a strategic opportunity for companies in the sector. GreenPlast offers an exclusive formula that allows exhibitors to showcase their products at a highly competitive cost, without compromising on quality and visibility. Additionally, the conference programme delves into sustainability-related topics, adding value for exhibitors.
The Innovation Alliance: An Ecosystem of Excellence in Industrial Machinery
Another key theme of the conference was GreenPlast 2025's role within The Innovation Alliance, the network of fairs that brings together Ipack-Ima, Print4All, Intralogistica, and GreenPlast. The four fairs will run simultaneously, covering almost the entire Rho Pero exhibition centre at Fiera Milano, offering visitors the opportunity to move freely between the different pavilions and explore innovative solutions in a synergistic environment.
Shaping a Sustainable Future for Plastics: The AMI Conference on Industry Trends
A highlight of the conference was the speech by Andy Beevers, Director of Events and Publishing at AMI, who previewed the themes of the "Shaping a Sustainable Future for Plastics" conference, which will take place throughout GreenPlast 2025. The conference will explore key market trends and innovations in sustainability, design for recycling, material separation automation, and advancements in mechanical and chemical recycling technologies.
European Regulations: A Push for Ecological Transition
The conference continued with a talk by Elizabeth Carroll, AMI consultant, who discussed the role of European regulations in transforming the recycling sector, with a particular focus on targets for recycled content.
GreenPlast 2025: A Must-Attend Event for the Plastics Industry
The press conference reinforced GreenPlast 2025's role as a central event for companies, professionals, and industry leaders committed to the sustainability of plastics.
Mario Maggiani stated:
"We are quite satisfied with the results achieved so far, especially considering the current economic situation. The number of exhibitors is in line with what was recorded in November 2021. GreenPlast's strength lies in its competitiveness, thanks to the reduced cost of the stands. The bare space is priced at 185 euros per m², with an additional cost for the pre-built stand at 80 euros per m². For areas up to 64 m², only pre-built stands are available, with the goal of having uniform stands, a distinctive feature of exhibition-conferences."
