Coca-Cola HBC Italia, the main bottler of The Coca-Cola Company's branded products in Italy, recently published "Let's celebrate tomorrow's world together", its 20th Sustainability Report, in which the company reports on its progress in the area of social and environmental sustainability, anticipating issues that are now at the centre of public interest, such as packaging circularity and skills development. A goal that is a starting point, as evidenced by the investment of more than 70 million euros up to 2024 in factories and along the value chain.
Since 2004, we have been recording our commitments and achievements in the field of sustainability, aware of our responsibilities towards consumers, customers, partners, institutions and the communities in which we operate. With over 2,000 employees, more than 1,300 suppliers and 6 production plants in 5 regions, we are part of the Italian economy and its social fabric and, if given the opportunity, we will continue to transparently promote our sustainable way of doing business, in the factories and along the entire value chain,
said Giangiacomo Pierini, corporate affairs & sustainability director of Coca-Cola HBC Italy.
Of the 70 million euros earmarked for 2024, around 20 million euros will be spent on in-firm innovation in areas such as human health and safety, water and energy efficiency, green mobility and circularity of packaging, in particular soft drink bottles, which will be made from 100% recycled plastic (rPET) from 2023.
