PET solutions for the medical industry

Evertispart of the IMG Group, launches the Evercare brand for the medical sector to offer PET and PETG films that are innovative in terms of sustainability and safety. Selenis, a subsidiary of the Group, focuses on the production of copolyesters.

Evercare drop-in films facilitate the thermoforming process, offer better mechanical and optical properties and are more resistant to sterilisation. Manufactured in strict compliance with GMP standards and regulatory requirements, Evercare films are ISO10993, USP661.1, ISO11607 certified.

Gonzalo Lopez-Oleaga, Vice President of Evertis Europe, said:

As an innovator and leader in polyester-based materials, we are now in a position to help healthcare companies achieve their sustainable packaging goals, now and in the future. We have made significant investments in Evercare at an operational, technological and, most importantly, GMP production level, backed by comprehensive certifications, to serve this market.

This is why Evercare's product range offers not only plug & play recyclable PET-based solutions, but also two other sustainable options: bio-based and up to 50% post-consumer recycled (PCR) materials. These solutions take advantage of the vertical integration with Selenis and meet the same quality and regulatory standards, providing a great opportunity to reduce the carbon footprint.

Casimiro Sacchetti, CSO of Evertis Americas, said:

This is the combination of experience and deep technical knowledge, supported by a truly integrated vertical operation, from resin production to medical film extrusion. With Evercare's innovative range of films, we are actively supporting our medical and pharmaceutical customers' move towards safe and environmentally friendly packaging.
