The topic of innovation in packaging materials will take centre stage at IPACK-IMA, scheduled to take place at Fiera Milano Rho from 27 to 30 May 2025. Over 200 companies will enrich the exhibition with specialised proposals focusing on eco-friendly and smart materials, designed to meet sustainability and production efficiency needs.
This valuable offering will once again be highlighted within the exhibition stands through the IPACK-Mat - Packaging Materials for Product Development brand, a project aimed at making companies that offer primary, secondary, and tertiary packaging materials—either exclusively or in combination with machinery and equipment—easily identifiable among the exhibition halls.
The main partner of IPACK-Mat is CONAI, which has renewed its commitment to sponsoring the project.
"The collaboration with Ipack Ima represents an important opportunity for CONAI to promote the value of sustainability in the packaging sector. The fair serves as a meeting point for innovation, technology, and sustainability, offering companies new ideas and solutions to address the challenges of the circular economy. Among CONAI’s commitments is also the support of businesses in adopting production models that are increasingly focused on resource conservation and environmental impact reduction, encouraging a packaging approach that is not only functional but also responsible,"
commented Ignazio Capuano, President of CONAI.
From materials ensuring food waste reduction and food security, the connection with the certification sector is both inevitable and essential. This is why the Ipack Ima Lab - Solutions for Product Testing & Certification section will be featured once again, in collaboration with the Italian Packaging Institute. The aim is to provide space for laboratories, certification institutes, and research centres specialising in quality and compliance testing related to MOCA regulations—materials and objects that come into contact with food. The selected companies guarantee the highest quality standards, offering tangible support to the R&D phase.
