FiberWise, the result of Hartmann’s century-long experience, represents a significant step forward in sustainable packaging innovation, offering fibre trays that perfectly meet the needs of producers focused on sustainability, particularly in the fresh meat and ready meals sectors. The product will make its debut at CFIA Rennes, from 4 to 6 March.
With over 100 years of expertise in moulded fibre technology, Hartmann has developed FiberWise to reduce environmental impact without compromising the effectiveness of tray sealing packaging, which is widely used. FiberWise is made from 100% renewable resources and reduces plastic usage by 70% compared to traditional rigid trays made of PET or PP, providing a tangible solution for waste reduction and contributing to the circular economy.
The FiberWise tray stands out for its robust and versatile design, which enables seamless integration into existing sealing systems, without requiring additional investments from producers. Its separability feature makes recycling simple and efficient, as fibre and plastic can be processed separately, ensuring more responsible material management.
Kati Ørskov, Business Unit Director at Hartmann, stated:
