Interpack 2023

A privileged place where the packaging industry shapes the future globally, after a six-year absence forced by the pandemic, interpack returns May 4-10, 2023 to enliven the Düsseldorf exhibition center. About 7 months from its start, the world’s leading processing and packaging trade fair is already fully booked, with some 2,700 exhibitors from around the world who, in 18 pavilions, will preview the latest technologies and future trends of a constantly evolving industry. Digitization, safety, circular economy and resource conservation will be the key themes of the new edition, also discussed in special forums and side events.

A database available online
To provide visitors with a comprehensive preview of what’s on offer at the fair, the database at www.interpack.com has been redesigned, which is now more functional thanks to a modern design that enables faster product classification and the ability to filter information according to one’s interests. The platform also offers the opportunity to establish B2B contacts with exhibiting companies, simplifying the planning of the trade show visit. The database is constantly being updated.

Save Food
restarts with new projects. What if wasted food could be used to protect other food? That’s the question to be answered by the new Save Food research project, the initiative founded by Messe Düsseldorf, interpack and FAO that has been bringing together international organizations, food producers and packaging manufacturers since 2009 to reduce food waste (about 2.2 billion tons by 2030). Among Save Food’s new projects is the study by Bahçeşehir University (BAU) in Istanbul aimed at producing biodegradable food packaging from food waste or by-products of food production. The results of the study were presented in Istanbul on October 5-6 at a conference organized by FAO together with the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry
