Arca Space Capital, a private equity fund promoted by Arca Fondi SGR and Space Capital Advisors, is investing in Mosaiq Group, a new business specialised in sustainable packaging for the luxury industry, which brings together five leading Italian companies in the sector: Valtenna (rigid boxes and cases), Bulgarelli Production (tags and micro-packaging), D'Auria Packaging (shopping bags), CO.Ri Sacchettificio (fabric bags and garment covers) and Brand Label (fabric labels).
The aim of the project is to establish a partnership between Arca Space Capital and the entrepreneurs in order to support the growth and development projects of the new company in terms of internationalisation, sustainability and new acquisitions.
Mosaiq Group will own 100% of the five companies, 68% of which will be controlled by a consortium of financial investors led by Arca Space Capital and a significant minority (32%) by the entrepreneurs, who will remain at the helm of their respective companies and will be appointed as directors in the Mosaiq Group holding company.
With a turnover of approximately 70 million euros and over 300 employees, Mosaiq Group is positioned as a single point of contact for the supply needs of the most important luxury brands, with a flexible and vertically integrated production capacity, with state-of-the-art plants located in the main Made in Italy districts.
The Group's development path has involved five leading companies in complementary segments and aims to pursue an aggregation process in the luxury packaging sector in Europe, which is still very fragmented. The aim is also to become a reference player in the ESG field, extending the best practices of Bulgarelli Production, Carbon Positive and certified B Corp to the Group's companies, which have already taken significant steps and obtained relevant certifications.
The Group will integrate the production and organisational structures of the acquired companies into a single platform, characterised by a wide range of complementary products and a strong focus on the development of sustainable solutions, with the aim of achieving significant commercial and industrial synergies.
Stefano Lazzari, with more than 30 years of experience in the management of industrial groups with a focus on the packaging sector, will be appointed Executive Chairman of the Mosaiq Group, while Sebastian Suhl, a manager with more than 20 years of international experience in the fashion and luxury sector, will be appointed Managing Director. The entrepreneurs will remain responsible for the operational management of the individual companies in accordance with the group's strategic plan.
The transaction is expected to be completed by June 2024, subject to required regulatory approvals.
