Amcor, responsible packaging solutions producer, will present an interactive and engaging experience at Pack Expo International, taking place in Chicago from November 3 to 6, 2024. The company will showcase its innovative packaging solutions for the food, healthcare, and industrial sectors, with a strong focus on sustainability and efficiency.
Guided by Amcor’s packaging experts, visitors will have the chance to explore cutting-edge packaging innovations driven by both operational needs and consumer trends. As the demand for more sustainable solutions grows, could this be the key to unlocking a brighter future for packaging?
A highlight of Amcor’s exhibit will be a new on-demand application that allows users to compare over 130 different packaging types, measuring their impact on energy consumption, carbon footprint, and water use. This tool is designed to help data-driven decision-makers assess the environmental benefits of Amcor's packaging solutions.
Innovation driving sustainability
This year, Amcor will expand its fiber-based packaging portfolio with new products from the AmFiber line, including cold-seal wraps, dry mix pouches, and home care sachets. AmFiber is recyclable through curbside collection, reducing the need for virgin plastic while maintaining product protection and shelf life.
Amcor’s award-winning AmPrima line, designed to be recycled, will also be featured. AmPrima films can be recycled at store drop-off locations or curbside where available, offering a ready-to-use solution that meets the performance standards of non-recyclable alternatives.
Advanced technology for the food industry
Amcor will demonstrate its Liquiflex VFFS pouch system, which reduces carbon emissions by 67% compared to metal cans. This fast, flexible packaging technology is ideal for foodservice products like soups and sauces, offering a more sustainable option without compromising on durability or convenience.
Also on display will be the Moda Bag system for vacuum packaging meat and cheese. This compact, on-demand system reduces material waste and allows for quick adjustments in production to accommodate changing product sizes and labels, helping producers meet the growing demand for flexible, sustainable solutions.
Focus on circularity and recycled content
At the center of Amcor’s booth, attendees will discover the company’s circular economy initiatives, with a focus on incorporating recycled content into packaging. Amcor’s AmFiniti program is designed to optimize the use of recycled materials in packaging, promoting the use of both mechanically and chemically recycled materials.
Amcor will also take part in the Innovation Stages at Pack Expo, where its experts will discuss the future of sustainable packaging. Key presentations will cover the latest developments in rigid and flexible packaging, the growing use of post-consumer recycled content, and how regulatory changes could accelerate the shift toward more responsible packaging.
As brands and consumers increasingly prioritize sustainability, Amcor is positioning itself as a strategic partner in delivering eco-friendly packaging solutions that meet both performance needs and environmental goals. Could these innovations be the answer to a more responsible and brilliant future for the packaging industry?
