At the forefront of Europe’s green transition in plastics, Aliplast – a Hera Group company – is set to present its fully circular industrial model at IPACK-IMA 2025, the leading international trade fair for processing and packaging.
A pillar of Hera Group’s sustainability strategy, Aliplast specializes in the collection, regeneration, and conversion of plastic waste into high-performance recycled materials. At IPACK-IMA 2025, taking place May 27–30 in Milan, the company will showcase an integrated approach that brings together technology, traceability, and regulatory compliance to meet the needs of industries from cosmetics to logistics.
Among the innovations on display will be flexible films in rLDPE and rigid sheets in rPET – materials developed to provide high safety standards, exceptional durability, and verified environmental benefits. These solutions reflect Aliplast’s growing role as a partner to companies across diverse sectors including large-scale retail, industrial packaging, and food processing.
A Strategic Stronghold for the Packaging Supply Chain
Aliplast’s participation in IPACK-IMA 2025 comes at a time of rapid evolution for the packaging sector. As Europe moves forward with the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and enforcement of the Single-Use Plastics (SUP) Directive, the demand for sustainable and recyclable packaging is becoming a business imperative.
Being at IPACK-IMA is not just about showcasing products or technologies,” says Michele Petrone, CEO of Aliplast. “It is an opportunity to present a broad industrial vision based on collaboration, quality, and responsibility. Today we work with partners from large-scale retail, cosmetics, and industrial sectors to build truly circular solutions — not just on paper. And the results are starting to show, both in terms of market and customer perception.
By offering end-to-end solutions—from waste collection to recycled packaging design—Aliplast positions itself as a strategic ally for companies navigating these regulatory shifts.
From Vision to Results: A Year of Transformation
The past year has been marked by dynamic growth for Aliplast. In 2024 and early 2025, the company made strategic investments and expanded its infrastructure, including the integration of the Carmignano di Brenta (PD) site, boosting PET recycling capacity by an additional 15,000 tons annually.
In the retail space, a partnership with SACME has yielded a closed-loop recycling model: LDPE packaging waste collected from stores is processed and transformed into new, branded collection bags — a full-circle sustainability solution for major retail clients.
Meanwhile, the company’s ongoing collaboration with Cosmetica Italia has led to the creation of shared guidelines for recycled cosmetic packaging and the launch of a new recycled plastic bottle tailored for the beauty industry.
Looking ahead, Aliplast will inaugurate a new facility in Modena by mid-2026, dedicated to the recycling of rigid plastics for technical packaging. This highly automated plant will serve high-performance markets and reinforce the company’s presence in both national and international supply chains.
Circularity in Action
At IPACK-IMA 2025, Aliplast will underscore how industrial circularity is not just a theory, but a working model—capable of delivering quality, scale, and sustainability in equal measure. Visitors to the fair will experience how recycled plastics are being reimagined into new solutions that close the loop, cut emissions, and create lasting value.
