Made Consulting is a company founded in 2020 to produce FFP2 masks to combat the spread of Covid. Although the concern at the time was all about the pandemic, the company soon realised the impact that the masks could have, as they would create new waste that could even end up on the streets of all urban centres. Made Consulting therefore decided to include a card made of recycled paper in the packs, with the following message:
Dear customer, thank you for buying our masks, which will help protect you. When you no longer need them, their disposal will produce 4 mg of CO2. If you plant the card you are reading, plants will grow that can absorb this CO2 and oxygen will be produced to help the planet breathe.
At that point, the consultancy wondered if this solution could be applied to other sectors, and so Piantami was born, an initiative to help companies make their products sustainable. Today, the applications cover sectors as diverse as clothing, cosmetics and food. It is for the latter sector that the plantable paper packaging was born, demonstrating Made Consulting's commitment to sustainability, in which every package is not just a packaging, but a means of managing waste in an eco-friendly way.
