Microline, an Italian company specialising in the design and production of tissue and secondary packaging machines, is strengthening its professional partnership with Temca, a brand belonging to the multinational Celtex Group, manufacturer of paper for hygienic, household and professional use.
Among the many industrial sectors in which Temca operates, including biomedical, food and automotive, the marketing of hygiene products is particularly strategic. It was in this sector that the company found itself faced with new production needs that led it to contact Microline, a historical partner of the Group, whose expertise is particularly strong in primary packaging for woven and non-woven products, as well as in end-of-line packaging, with a portfolio of palletising and cartoning solutions adapted to different needs.
The ROM600, an automatic case packer with a horizontal carton filling system, was chosen to meet Temca's needs. The ROM series machines perform the picking, forming and filling operations, closing the carton with a tape or hot glue system for a variety of products such as napkins, handkerchiefs, industrial rolls and medical sheets. This specific example serves a line dedicated to the packaging of towels.
One of the advantages of the ROM600 is that it optimises energy consumption, thus saving energy and protecting the environment. In this case, the ROM600 equips a line that works in 3 shifts and is therefore subject to longer working hours.
In addition, the numerous certifications that Temca has obtained over the years, such as Ecolabel, a European label that distinguishes products and services characterised by a reduced environmental impact throughout their life cycle, and FSC, which identifies products containing wood from well-managed and responsible forests, testify to the company's strong commitment to sustainability.
