Lumson develops airless paper packaging

Lumson, a Cremasque-based company specialising in the production of packaging for the cosmetics industry, has created XPaper, an innovative airless paper pouch that combines design, safety and functionality in a sustainable way. Xpaper is unique because of the material it is made of: paper.

Thanks to various printing techniques, XPaper can be personalised with a wide range of colouring and decoration solutions, from the simplest to the most sophisticated, for a unique result: from hot stamping to obtain a precious packaging, to offset printing (up to 6 colours) that enhances the graphics, to hot embossing that embellishes the final result.

The paper bottle is much lighter (-50%) than a PET bottle of the same capacity; in fact, 47% less plastic is used, resulting in a 34% reduction in CO2 emissions.

In addition, once the product inside is used up, the plastic components can be separated from the paper components, facilitating recycling and material recovery. The paper bottle can be combined with the Lumson PP airless pump and PP/PCR PP cap.

In addition to meeting sustainability parameters, XPaper offers a high level of safety by protecting even the most sensitive formula from the risk of contamination, ensuring its integrity.
