From 3 to 6 May 2022, the Fiera Milano fairgrounds in Rho-Pero will host GreenPlast, a new exhibition-convention dedicated to materials, technologies, and transformation processes relating to plastics and rubber, with a focus on sustainability, recovery, recycling, and energy efficiency.
In order to be updated about technologies which contribute to make plastics material more sustainable, the organizer of the trade show, Promaplast, has given birth to a series of webinars. The first one titled “La seconda vita del PET” [A second life for PET] will be streamed live to the Italian audience at 10:30 on 9 November. At the same time the following day (10 November), the English version of the event will be streamed live to an international audience and then restreamed as a recording at 16:00.
Speakers at the event represent some of the leading names in plastics recycling technology, who have already confirmed their participation in this first edition of GreenPlast. They are Previero (specialized recycling plant builder), Tomra (producer of plastics sorting and recycling machinery), and Bandera (manufacturer of extrusion systems for blown film or sheets).
Andrea Villa, sales area manager of Previero, will discuss the PET recycling process; Alessandro Granziera, sales manager for Tomra Recycling, will illustrate the role of optical sorting technology in PET bottle-to-bottle recycling processes; while Pietro Zanotto, sales area manager Blown Film + Flat Die Division of Bandera, a company whose plants make it possible to meet growing demand for sustainable, recyclable PET packaging, will address the challenges associated with PET, in particular the “formula” from 100% recycled to 100% recyclable.
