Giflex announces 2025 Congress in Rome with focus on sustainability, AI and design. The 6-7 November event promises to redefine sector paradigms
The Italian flexible packaging converters association Giflex has opened registrations for its 2025 Annual Congress, entitled "Flexible Packaging, Minimalist by Nature". The event, scheduled for 6-7 November at Hotel Villa Pamphili in Rome, promises to be a pivotal moment in defining the sector's sustainable future.
The Congress will open with the Private Assembly reserved for Converter Members, during which the Economic Observatory produced by MECS - Manufacturing Economic Studies will be presented. An analysis that will capture the state of the art of a sector that represents one of the pillars of the circular economy in Italy.
Artificial intelligence and geopolitics The two-day programme will address cutting-edge themes: from the First Session dedicated to Artificial Intelligence to the geopolitical implications that are reshaping global supply chains. An approach that reflects the sector's awareness of ongoing transformations.
Design and legislation: creativity and compliance Particular attention will be dedicated to the relationship between design, creativity and packaging value, a central theme for a sector where aesthetics increasingly meets sustainable functionality. The Fifth Session on Legislation will instead address the complex European regulatory landscape.
The claim "Minimalist by Nature" is not just a slogan but an industrial philosophy: using as little material as possible whilst maintaining excellent performance. A concept that reflects the evolution of flexible packaging towards increasingly lightweight and environmentally efficient solutions.
The Roman appointment represents a strategic moment for an industry that is transforming sustainability from regulatory constraint into competitive advantage.
