In anticipation of the upcoming K 2025 – the world’s leading trade fair for plastics and rubber (Düsseldorf, 8–15 October 2025) – Kraiburg TPE is showcasing solutions that directly address the challenges of sustainability, safety, and circularity.
The German company, specialised in thermoplastic elastomers (TPE), will be present at the fair with a product portfolio firmly focused on responsible innovation, in line with the event’s key themes: shaping the circular economy, embracing digitalisation, and caring for people.
Two new products best embody this commitment.
TPE for food packaging with controlled migration
Designed for the food and cosmetics packaging sectors, the new FC/CM3/AD1 series stands out for its exceptionally low migration levels between the plastic material and the packaged contents, thus ensuring maximum safety even with fatty foods. The compounds comply with the strictest food contact regulations, including EU Regulation No. 10/2011 and the FDA’s provisions (21 CFR).
In addition to being easy to process (multi-component injection moulding), they offer a pleasant tactile feel, high robustness, and excellent mechanical performance, with particular attention to durability and perceived quality of the packaging.
Flame-retardant TPE for critical applications
Kraiburg TPE will also present the third generation of its FR3 series, developed for applications requiring the highest standards of fire protection, such as the railway sector. The new FR3 compounds fully meet the requirements of European standard DIN EN 45545-2 (R22 HL3 and R23 HL3), while also offering excellent adhesion to polypropylene, processability in extrusion and injection moulding, and reliable long-term performance.
