Packaging Speaks Green aims to present a “journey through supply chain sustainability” at the forum and, in addition to the commitment shown by the institutions, the aim of the event is also to inform the public about how the major international brand owners are addressing the sustainability issue.
Reuse, recycle, recover, eco-design, product lifetimes, and end-of-life strategies. Plus, preventing and reducing environmental impact along the entire production chain, as well as use of raw and ancillary materials.
But sustainability does not fall exclusively within the realm of ecology. For a business, being sustainable does not only mean being kind to the environment, saving raw materials, lowering emissions, increasing logistical efficiency, and managing water and economic resources carefully, but also caring about workers’ and consumers’ health when striving for innovation and engaging in research. All of these aspects come under the umbrella of responsibility.
A process that brings businesses together, in a virtuous and responsible manner, thereby creating value and sharing it with stakeholders.
Procter & Gamble, Coca-Cola Bottling Investment Group, and Massimo Zanetti Beverages will be exploring these issues at the panel discussions dedicated to brand owners scheduled for the afternoon of the first day of the forum. Enrico Dolce (product development & sales manager at Fater, a joint venture between P&G and Angelini), as well as Clay Dockery (and Clay Dockery (vice president of the corporate brands division at Massimo Zanetti Beverages USA) and Roman Manthey (global supply chain engineering & infrastructure director at Coca-Cola Bottling Investment Group).
